Tiger Stakes 60 inch × 1.125 inch — deep-drive marquee stake for bigtop and festival tent primary anchors
Tiger Stakes 60″ × 1.125″
The largest size in the range. For high pull-out resistance requirements, bigtop and festival tent primary anchors, and soft or friable ground where shorter stakes cannot achieve adequate embedment depth. Also appropriate for clearspan base plates on structures with engineer-specified load requirements.
High alloy steel with Hogan's patented heat-drawn point — manufactured to the same specification since 1948. Drives more cleanly in hard ground, where standard mild steel stakes bend. For a full breakdown of the operational case for switching, see Why Professional Hire Companies Choose Hogan Stakes.
- Patented heat drawn point — stays straight in more ground conditions
- High alloy steel construction
- Mill finish — no coating to chip or corrode
- Consistent tip geometry, season after season
Manufactured by Hogan Tent Stakes (USA) — exclusively distributed in the UK by Milestone Events (Yorkshire) Ltd, Leeds. Minimum stake specifications for professional installations are set out in the MUTA Best Practice Guide. Hogan stakes are built to meet those specifications.

Common Questions
Are Hogan Tiger Stakes suitable for hard ground?
Yes — hard and compacted ground is where they earn their keep. The heat drawn point and high alloy steel hold tip geometry under hard driving, where mild steel bends. Ground with rock at shallow depth is a different problem: no drive stake beats an obstruction, so we'd point you at shorter stakes in a gang arrangement. See our hard ground anchoring guide for more detail.
How do I know which stake size I need?
Stake size depends on your structure type, ground conditions, and load requirements. The 30″ suits pole tents and lighter structures in good ground; the 36″–42″ range covers most clearspan and stretch applications; the 48″ and 60″ are for heavy loads, soft ground, and specialist anchoring. See the stake selection guide or use the stake calculator.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Tiger Stakes are sold individually — there is no minimum order. You can order as few as you need for a specific job or to top up your fleet. Trade buyers placing regular orders can discuss volume pricing with us directly — get in touch and we can talk through what that looks like for your operation and order frequency.
What structures is the 60″ Tiger Stake best suited for?
The 60″ (1530mm × 29mm) Tiger Stake is our longest option, used for maximum embedment in soft, waterlogged, or very challenging ground, and for storm anchoring of large structures where engineering specifications require the highest available holding power. Get in touch before ordering to confirm it is the right choice for your application and ground conditions.

Pull testing tells you what the ground is providing before you commit the installation. The extraction tool brings them out clean at de-rig — and gives you a load reading at every position on the way out.

Pull Test Indicator
Measures actual ground holding force in kilograms. Digital display, wireless HOLD remote, CE marked. Confirms the anchorage arrangement is sufficient before the structure goes under load.

Heavy-Duty Stake Extraction Tool
Rack-and-pinion mechanism — axial force, no levering, no bending. Compatible with Tiger Stakes 1" and 1.125". Each extraction stroke gives you a load reading when used inline with the pull test indicator.
