Tiger Stakes
26mm diameter. For lighter anchor loads in firm to medium ground — pole marquee guy ropes, secondary anchors, and smaller inflatables. Exceeds EN 14960 dimensional minimums. In soft or loose ground this size won't achieve adequate holding — move to the 36" or 42".

Tiger Stakes
26mm diameter. The most widely used general-purpose trade size. Reliable holding for pole marquees, stretch tent guy anchors, and pagoda bases in firm to medium ground. In soft or waterlogged ground the 42" will outperform it.

Tiger Stakes
For clearspan base plates, high-tension sailcloth anchors, and the high-load positions where a 36" won't deliver the pull-out figure. The extra length earns its keep in soft or variable ground, where holding comes from embedment; on dense hard ground, pilot-drill to reach full depth.

Common Questions
What sizes do Tiger Stakes come in?
Tiger Stakes come in eight sizes: 18″ × 5/8″ (460mm × 16mm), 24″ × 1″ (610mm × 26mm), 30″ × 1″ (770mm × 26mm), 36″ × 1″ (920mm × 26mm), 42″ × 1″ (1070mm × 26mm), 42″ × 1.125″ (1070mm × 29mm), 48″ × 1.125″ (1219mm × 29mm), and 60″ × 1.125″ (1530mm × 29mm). Every size shares the same high alloy steel and patented heat-drawn point. Use the stake calculator or the stake selection guide to match a size to your job.
How do I choose the right Tiger Stake size?
Size is driven by load and structure type, not by how hard the ground is. The 30″ suits pole tents and lighter positions; the 36″–42″ range covers most clearspan and stretch tent anchoring; the 48″ and 60″ are for the highest-load anchors and soft or loose ground where shorter stakes can’t reach adequate holding. Hard ground affects how you drive a stake, not which size you pick. See the stake selection guide.
Why are there two 42″ Tiger Stakes?
The two 42″ sizes share a length but differ by shaft diameter. The 42″ × 1″ (26mm) gives deep embedment on the standard Tiger shaft, for soft or made ground and positions built around 1″ fixings. The 42″ × 1.125″ (29mm) is the heavier shaft for higher-load anchor positions — clearspan base plates and high-tension sailcloth ridges.
Are Tiger Stakes suitable for hard ground?
Yes — hard and compacted ground is where they earn their keep. The patented heat drawn point and high alloy steel hold tip geometry under hard driving, where mild steel bends. Ground with rock at shallow depth is a different problem: no drive stake beats an obstruction, so we’d point you at shorter stakes in a gang arrangement. See the hard ground anchoring guide.
