Step 1 of 3

What structure are you anchoring?

Choose the structure type. For mixed fleets, run the calculator separately for each structure type.

About these quantities

What the calculator covers — and where to use your judgement

The quantities are based on standard staking patterns for each structure type: main anchor spacing, secondary positions, and perimeter hooks. For structures under an engineering specification, the engineer's specified anchor forces and arrangement take precedence.

Ground conditions affect both the stake length you need and whether single-stake arrangements are adequate. In soft or waterlogged ground, spreader bars and gang staking distribute load across multiple stakes — the calculator flags this where it applies.

For unusually challenging ground, exposed or high-load installations, or structures you haven't staked before, get in touch and we can talk through the specifics. The complete guide to marquee stakes covers the full picture if you want more background before ordering.
