Yes — hard and compacted ground is where they earn their keep. The heat drawn point and high alloy steel hold tip geometry under hard driving, where mild steel bends. Ground with rock at shallow depth is a different problem: no drive stake beats an obstruction, so we'd point you at shorter stakes in a gang arrangement. Stake size depends on your structure type, ground conditions, and load requirements. The 30″ suits pole tents and lighter structures in good ground; the 36″–42″ range covers most clearspan and stretch applications; the 48″ and 60″ are for heavy loads, soft ground, and specialist anchoring. The 42″ (1070mm × 29mm) Tiger Stake is the most widely used size for large clearspan marquees, sailcloth tents, and multi-bay structures. The 29mm diameter provides greater lateral resistance for heavier loads, and the additional length gives more embedment — which matters most in soft or variable ground, and at the high-load positions where a 36″ won't deliver the pull-out figure the structure needs.
