Hogan hook stake 12” × 5/8” — high alloy steel hook peg with a one-piece forged hook
Hook Stake 12” × 5/8”
The heaviest 5/8-inch shaft in a short 12-inch length, for firm or shallow ground where depth is limited but you still need the strength and hold of the larger diameter for real guy-line tension.
High alloy steel with Hogan's patented heat-drawn point and a hook forged in one piece with the shaft — so the guy rope, skirt line or strap clips straight on, with no separate shackle to fit or lose. That is uncommon in a market of mild-steel galvanised hook pegs that bend or open up under load. See Why Professional Hire Companies Choose Hogan Stakes.
- Forged in one piece with the shaft — doesn't open up the way bent-wire hooks do
- Patented heat drawn point — drives straight in hard ground
- High alloy steel — not commodity mild steel
- Direct guy-rope / skirt attachment — no separate shackle

Common Questions
What is the 12” × 5/8” hook stake best for?
The heaviest 5/8-inch shaft in a short 12-inch length, for firm or shallow ground where depth is limited but you still need the strength and hold of the larger diameter for real guy-line tension.
How does the 12” × 5/8” compare to the 18” × 5/8” and 24” × 5/8” hook stake?
All three share the 16mm shaft. The 18” adds six inches of embedment for the EN 14960 minimum and general marquee guying; the 24” adds a further six for soft or made ground and higher loads. The 12” is for firm or shallow ground where the full shaft strength is needed but depth is limited.
