Hogan hook stake — one-piece forged hook and heat-drawn point In Stock

Hogan hook stakes — high alloy steel hook pegs with a one-piece forged hook and heat-drawn point

Hook Stakes

Six sizes, 12” × 3/8” to 24” × 5/8”  |  One-piece forged hook

Hook stakes pair the high alloy steel and patented heat-drawn point of the Hogan range with a hook forged in one piece with the shaft. The hook is a direct attachment point for guy ropes, skirt lines and straps — clip on, tension, done, with no separate shackle to fit or lose. That is uncommon in a market of mild-steel galvanised hook pegs that bend or open up under load.

Six sizes cover everything from light skirt and groundsheet pinning to deep, high-tension guy anchors. The two largest — 18” and 24” on the 5/8” (16mm) shaft — meet the EN 14960 minimum anchor dimensions. See why hire companies choose Hogan, or the EN 14960 staking guide.

  • Forged in one piece with the shaft — doesn't open up the way bent-wire hooks do
  • Patented heat drawn point — drives straight in hard ground
  • High alloy steel — not commodity mild steel
  • Direct guy-rope / skirt attachment — no separate shackle
  • Six sizes from 12” × 3/8” to 24” × 5/8”

FAQ

Common Questions

What is a hook stake?

A hook stake is a ground stake with a forged hook at the top, so a guy rope, skirt line or strap clips straight on — no separate shackle or coupling needed. The Hogan hook stake is high alloy steel with the hook forged in one piece with the shaft and the same patented heat-drawn point as the Tiger Stakes range, which is uncommon in a market dominated by mild-steel galvanised hook pegs.

How is the Hogan hook stake different from a standard galvanised hook peg?

Most hook pegs are commodity mild steel with a bent-over or welded hook that can open up or shear under load. The Hogan hook stake is high alloy steel with the hook forged in one piece with the shaft, so the attachment point is as strong as the stake itself, and the heat-drawn point drives straight in hard ground where mild steel bends. It is a properly manufactured hook stake, not a bent rod.
