About Hogan Stakes UK — UK Distributor for Hogan Manufacturing Inc.
Hogan Stakes UK is the trading name of Milestone Events (Yorkshire) Ltd, sole UK distributor for Hogan Manufacturing Inc.
About Milestone Events (Yorkshire) Ltd
Philip Marken, Director of Milestone Events (Yorkshire) Ltd, came to Hogan the way most people do: through the product.
Milestone Events is a working events business. We run marquee and outdoor events ourselves. We needed stakes that worked in Yorkshire ground — which means limestone, compacted showground, and the kind of baked clay that laughs at standard pegs in August. We found Hogan, imported a consignment, put them through a season, and that was that.
We now hold the sole UK distribution rights for Hogan Manufacturing. The stakes we sell are the stakes we use.
Hogan Stakes UK products are manufactured by Hogan Tent Stakes — a family-owned American company, making stakes since 1948. In the UK, Hogan products are exclusively distributed by Milestone Events (Yorkshire) Ltd, based in Leeds.
Milestone Events (Yorkshire) Ltd is a UK-registered company (Companies House no. 11260365, VAT no. GB313636324), based at Unit 1a Aire Place Mills, 143 Kirkstall Road, Leeds, LS3 1JL.
Hogan Manufacturing Inc. and the UK Distribution Operation
Milestone Events (Yorkshire) Ltd is a Yorkshire-based events business. We plan, manage, and deliver outdoor events using temporary structures — which means we have a direct operational stake in the quality of the anchoring products we sell.
That matters. We are not a trade import business that read a spec sheet and set up a distribution arrangement. We understand UK ground conditions, UK hire company operations, and UK regulatory requirements because we work inside the same industry. When you call us with a question about a specific ground condition or a site requirement, you are talking to people who have been on the same sites.
UK stock is held and dispatched from Yorkshire. Lead times and stock levels are available on enquiry.
Hogan Manufacturing Inc. has been producing professional tent stakes from Bloomington, California since 1948. The business is third-generation family-owned. The product range covers hook, single head, double head, no head, auger, and Tiger stake configurations in multiple sizes.
Hogan's heat-drawn point is a proprietary manufacturing process that produces a tip significantly harder and more consistent than a standard machined point. The outcome: superior penetration in hard and compacted ground, no burring or deformation, consistent profile through multiple seasons of professional use.
What You Can Expect from Us
If you ask us which stake for which application, we tell you. If your ground condition requires something other than a drive stake, we say so. We would rather lose a sale than have an operator on-site with the wrong product.
We hold UK stock, know UK regulatory requirements, and understand MUTA, BS EN 13782, EN 14960, the Purple Guide, and CDM Regulations 2015 as the operational framework our own events work within.
The guides and articles on this site reflect real operational experience. We write them because we know the material — not to fill pages.
Most of our customers are repeat buyers. The relationship we want is with hire companies who stock Hogan stakes and call us when they need to extend their inventory or specify for a new application.
Operational Standards and Reference Sources
We work to the same standards we recommend: MUTA, BS EN 13782, EN 14960, CDM Regulations 2015, and the HSE's temporary demountable structures guidance. We cite our sources because we use them.
